Elica Propulsion Laboratory

The new Elica laboratory, boasting the highest test and certification standards worldwide, was just recently inaugurated by the Minister Angelino Alfano and Elica Chairman Francesco Casoli, in the presence of the most relevant entrepreneurs in the household appliances sector.

Elica inaugurated its Elica Propulsion Laboratory (EPL) on May 29th, 2017: a state-of-the –art testing center, at a worldwide level, where increasingly innovative products can be tested and certified in compliance with applicable standards, in terms of safety, energy saving, and electro-magnetic compatibility. The laboratory, which has been used only by Elica Group engineers and technicians so far, now opens its doors to very important national and international companies operating in various fields, ranging from household appliances to electronics, from refrigeration to home heating, and from electronic road signs to soundproofing materials for the building sector.

Conceived as an “open laboratory”, open to the market and innovative research, the EPL will make its space available to young engineers and university innovators, who will access and use its testing machineries for research project purposes, under the supervision of Elica laboratory technicians. Elica Propulsion Laboratory thus represents an evolution of the standard model of a laboratory, where participation and openness are the real innovative core of the Fabriano-based company.
